Imagine this: 12 Sparkle GMA artists are brought together in one house in the beautiful coastal town of ELYU for an unforgettable 30-day experience. But this isn't your typical reality show. Instead of just lounging on the beach, these artists are challenged to make their summer truly productive. Think "Jinny's Kitchen 2.0" meets "The Apprentice."
 
The premise is simple yet compelling: the artists are split into two teams and tasked with achieving a tangible goal within the 30-day timeframe, such as starting and running a cafe or small restaurant. Each team will be responsible for one business, from concept development to operations.
 
But here's the twist: their daily lives, both within the house and in the business they're running, will be documented for the audience to see. Viewers will get an intimate look at the challenges, triumphs, and personal growth of each artist as they navigate through this unique experience.
 
More than just a reality show, this concept aims to break stereotypes and showcase the diverse talents of GMA's artists. They're not just good-looking faces in front of the camera; they're capable individuals with the potential to excel in any endeavor they set their minds to. By immersing themselves in real-world challenges, they'll gain valuable life skills and prove that they're more than just entertainers – they're adaptable, resourceful, and resilient.
 
We believe that this show has the potential to captivate audiences across all demographics, offering a fresh take on the reality genre while highlighting the talents of GMA's roster of artists. I'm coming back because at a time when GMA Network needs to step up, we're seeing slow progress. Nubayan! Example: So Asawa Ng Asawa Ko and Love Die Repeat are both good shows. But with a franchise, why isn't it stronger than the no franchise shows? The answer: In 2020-2022, GMA Drama and Entertainment Group weren't pushing the bar. They didn't push their NARRATIVE for people to be open to GMA shows. First Yaya franchise was good! Maria Clara at Ibarra, the best. But GMA seems to be failing at strategy! Example: Lolong was gaining its own following. But instead of pushing its season two, it went for Black Rider-- a new start from ZERO. Example: Non-Kapuso viewers were awaiting for Voltes V Legacy. But it failed not because of CGI but because of the bad execution of action scenes involving HUMANS. Kudos to the ROBOTS and CGI team! Example: The Alden Richards and Jasmine Curtis-Smith starrer The World Between Us was already getting a good impression. But what did GMA do? Paired Alden with Bea for a KDRAMA remake?! What if they just gave both of them a really ground-breaking show to begin Bea's career on GMA? Haaay. So this time, the network has lost them.

Gusto lang namin ipaalam sa inyo in case hindi nyo pa napapansin masyado na nakagawa na kayo ng BIG STAR through StarStruck in the name of JENNYLYN MERCADO. Pero huwag kayong pakampante dahil circumstancial ang pagkakasikat nya ng todo ngayon at hindi nyo entirely kagagawan. Not all credit is due to you. Tawagin nalang nating DESTINY.

She started with StarStruck and hindi aksidente na sya ang unang StarStruck female ultimate survivor. Bago sya mabuntis, so-so lang ang kanyang career. Hindi masyadong sumikat ang mga pelikulang pinagbidahan niya. Hindi masyadong pinakinggan ang kanyang musika. Matamlay ang pagkabuild up nyo sa kanya.

Nung syay nabuntis, tila eto ang naging daan para syay simulan mahalin lalo ng marami. Mas lalo syang sumikat nung nagpaseksi sya after nyang isinilang si Jazz.

Naging sila ni Dennis Trillo. Pinag-usapan ang kanilang hiwalayan. People may have fallen in love with her being the woman searching for love but always ended up broken.

Naging sila ni Luis Manzano which made some Kapamilya fans begin to like her as well. Lumawak ang mileage ni Jen dahil na rin kay Luis and Ate V. Ngunit di rin sila nagtagal.

This even made people follow her life as they witnessed her na bumangon sa pagka low sa buhay. She managed to get back on her feet. Nagka movie project with Derek Ramsay. Bago pa lumabas ang movie, buti nalang nirepackage din sya ng GMA at ginawang isa sa mga IMPORTANT stars ng network. They gave her RHODORA X and SECOND CHANCES which proved na she can carry a show as a lead star this time.

Nung lumabas ang ENGLISH ONLY PLEASE na hindi GMA FILMS, sumikat sya lalo bilang karakter na dramatic at comic. Tumatak sa publiko.

Kung papansinin nyo, isa sya sa pinakamaraming followers sa Instagram and Twitter among the few highly-followed Kapuso stars. Emphasis on few.



Big star na talaga si Jennylyn Mercado. And if only GMA Network can treat her more like one, si Jen ang isa sa magiging banner-bearer ng network. Sana lang gawan din sya ng MAGANDANG material ng GMA Films kapares ang malalaking leading man din. At sana mas i-boost ng GMA Records ang mga album niya sa promotion at hype.

GMA Network, si Jennylyn Mercado ang isa sa mga BIG STARS niyo ngayon movie-wise, TV-wise, Social-media-wise, and commercial-wise. Sana mas bigyan nyo sya ng pagpapahalaga!

Ilang taon na nakalipas that you started your talent development arm for GMA Network. We were full of hope na finally matatapatan na ang Star Magic.

Bilang fans, we also want to see the network growing their homegrown talents and di lang galing sa kung sino sinong management company. Iba kasi pag masasabi mong gawang Kapuso talaga. Although may due credit to managers like the ones of Marian and Dingdong na kahit di sila Artist Center ay nanatiling loyal.

With this, ang gusto naming sabihin is, we are hopeful para sa GMA Artist Center. Kaya lang, mukhang for the past years papalit palit kayo ng head. Wala yatang gustong humawak talaga. Parang mas ok pa yata si Chynna Ortaleza nalang gawin nyong head dyan eh.

Honestly, yung ginawa ni Aljur Abrenica, di mo rin sya masisisi. The latest news is Sarah Lahbati leaving the talent development arm to sign with VIVA. After she signed, nanood kami ng mga video plugs niyo in the past and even discovered na andami na pala talagang artists from your camp na nagsi-lipat ng managers.

Dear Kapuso,

Simula ngayon, hindi na tayo mananahimik. Sabi nga sa campaign ng ating mahal na channel, "Proud to be Kapuso." Pero paano tayo magiging proud sa mga panahong ganito na tila nawalan na ng ningning ang ating GMA Network.

Nung lumalaki pa tayo, nasaksihan natin ang paglipad ng GMA. Nagsimula ito nung nakaisip silang buhayin ang imahinasyon natin patungkol sa mga agila. Ang MULAWIN ang pinakaunang fantaserye ng GMA Network na nagpalipad ng todo sa ratings ng network at napalunod ang sirenang si MARINA.

Mas lalong ginanahan ang mga tao sa likod ng telebisyon at nakaisip na buhayin ang alamat ng mga engkanto. Ang ENCANTADIA ang dahilan kung bakit marami sa Kapamilya that time ay sinimulang manood sa ayaw na ayaw nilang channel. Ang binuhos na sikap at pagod ng team ang nagdulot ng ibang klaseng excellence na nagbunga ng magandang resulta.

Nung lumipad si DARNA sa unang pagkakataon sa telebisyon, mas lalong umariba ang GMA. Pero hanggang dun nalang.

Pagkatapos nilang makita na sumikat ang mga fantaserye, masyado silang naging kampante at puro fantaserye nalang ang ginawa nila. Nagkulang sa innovation at nagsawa ang mga tao. Naging common ang fantaserye. Kaya nung naglabas sila ng Mexican remake na LA LOLA, gumanda ulit ang imahe ng GMA at may mga Kapamilya na naman na lumipat.

Ang MARIMAR ang nagbalik ng matataas na ratings sa GMA. Dito nahanap ng GMA ang muling magbabangon sa pangalan nila-- si Marian Rivera. Ganun na yata ang pattern sa network. May persona dapat every season. Nauna si Richard Gutierrez. Tapos si Angel Locsin. Tapos si Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera.

Natapos na ang season ni Richard, ni Angel, at tapos na rin ang season ni Marian (nothing against her... respeto lang talaga sa season ng buhay nya ngayon bilang asawa at ina).

Kailangan ng bagong persona. Pero baka din kasi dyan nagmumula ang problema. Masyado silang MA-PERSONA ang strategy. Di gaya ng ABS-CBN na sa isang season maraming napapasikat.

Mga Kapuso, sinabi ko yung mga yun to point out na GMA Network had its glory days. Pero obviously etong season na to, walang kislap ang ating mahal na channel. Kaya minabuti kong magsimula ng blog na to.
